Subway construction site in Dongguan collapses into massive sinkhole

Yesterday morning an urban rail construction site in Dongguan China suddenly collapsed.

According to Apple Daily, the site had partially collapsed the day before opening up a gargantuan sink hole. As workers tried to repair the damage and reinforce the site earlier today, it finally completely collapsed, shaking the entire neighborhood in the process and killing one worker underground.

This is the fifth collapse in just the past three years within 4 kilometers of the site, with each one more devastating than the last.
