REGIONAL COOPERATION: Macau Affairs Bureau planned for Hengqin

A Macau Affairs Bureau is being established in Hengqin in order to boost investment projects between the two regions.
The Bureau will add an appointee from Macau as deputy director, but a name has not been announced.
When the Hengqin New Zone was established, a bureau was set up to handle exchange and cooperation between Hong Kong and Macau. The Hengqin authority decided to change the institution’s name to the Macau Affairs Bureau in order to “further develop the cooperation between Hengqin and Macau” and “work positively to serve and expand Macau.”
