Railway plan to make commute more efficient

Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung expects the railway network strategic development plan will make it more comprehensive.

Speaking to the media after attending a radio programme today, Prof Cheung said the proposed schemes announced in the 2014 Railway Development Strategy will ensure there are alternative routes whenever there is a problem in one area of the network, to keep trains moving efficiently.

As large scale infrastructure projects have gained great social support and participation, the railway development plan will not be changed under a new-term government, he added.
