MELAKA: The Melaka Customary Land Development Corporation (Pertam) has entered into joint-venture (JV) agreements with five companies to undertake five different development projects worth RM337mil.
Melaka chief minister, Datuk Seri Idris Haron, said the five projects would be developed on 40 hectares of Malay customary land throughout the state.
“The projects, which involve the construction of residential and commercial properties, will increase the Bumiputera property ownership in the state.
“They are expected to be completed within three years,” he told a media briefing after chairing the State Executive Council meeting on Thursday.
The five companies involved in the joint-venture with Pertam are Liberty Vista Sdn Bhd, Technonation Sdn Bhd, Handal Jaya Sdn Bhd, Gerak Utusan Corporation Sdn Bhd and Homewise Construction Sdn Bhd.
The development projects are located in Bachang, Melaka Tengah, Balai Panjang, Bandar Jasin Bestari and Pulai Sebang in Alor Gajah. – Bernama
