No cover-up on XRL delay

According to the Transport and Housing Bureau there was never any intention by the Government to withhold information about the construction delay of the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link from the Legislative Council and the public.

The Transport & Housing Bureau made the statement after receiving the LegCo report on the delay today. The report said the majority of members on the inquiry committee felt the bureau and the Highways Department did not deliberately cover up the delay.

The bureau said that it and the department have been co-operating with the committee and will study the report and follow up on its recommendations.
