Macau’s Pac On Ferry Terminal to open mid-2016

The Marine and Water Bureau revealed that Taipa’s Pac On Ferry Terminal expansion should be open to the public by mid-2016 after experiencing several delays and huge cost overruns

The bureau’s director Susana Wong Soi Man has stated that the Infrastructure Development Office (GDI) is expected to hand over the main areas of the ferry terminal currently under construction at the end of this year. After that, six months will be required before the terminal is completely operational.

“We are cooperating with GDI in the building process and we expect that the delivery [of the infrastructure] should be made at the end of the year. If everything goes well, it will open to the public by mid-2016,” the director said. Improvements at the Pac On Ferry Terminal have been over 10 years in the making.
