The Government is following up on the general performance of Leighton Contractors (Asia) in respect of government contracts.
Acting Chief Executive Matthew Cheung told the media today the Development Bureau has asked Leighton for a report on its works at Hung Hom Station on the Shatin to Central Link.
“The question of responsibility in respect of Hung Hom Station must be left to the independent statutory Commission of Inquiry that will be set up.”
The bureau will also ask Leighton to provide a report on the excavation and support work at Exhibition Centre Station.
