Jacobs China signs HK$7m bike trail deal for Hong Kong

The Civil Engineering & Development Department today signed a $7.1 million agreement with Jacobs China for detailed design and construction supervision for the expansion of the Mountain Bike Trail networks in South Lantau.

The Civil Engineering & Development Department today signed a $7.1 million agreement with Jacobs China for detailed design and construction supervision for the expansion of the Mountain Bike Trail networks in South Lantau.

The 6.3km network will connect the Mui Wo trailhead to a training ground proposed to be built near Lai Chi Yuen Tsuen.

It will also connect the Chi Ma Wan Mountain Bike Trail loop to Shap Long Chung Hau and join the two ends of Chi Ma Wan Mountain Bike Trail.

There will also be a bikers’ gathering place at the entrance to a mountain bike trail proposed at Mui Wo Ferry Pier Road.

The consultancy agreement will last for about 33 months.
