The Buildings Department approved 15 building plans in January – two on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon and 10 in the New Territories.
Six were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, five for commercial developments, three for factory and industrial developments, and one for community services development.
Consent was given for work to start on 11 building projects that will provide 237,008 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 4,104 units, and 80,951 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department received notification of the start of work for 15 building projects. It also issued 14 occupation permits – six on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and three in the New Territories.
The buildings certified for occupation have 21,825 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 199 units, and 82,158 sq m for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in January totalled $3 billion.
