HK delegation in Myanmar for talks on Infrastructure and development

A delegation from Hong Kong is currently visiting Yangon, Myanmar, until October 8, to promote co-operation between Myanmar and Hong Kong.

Secretary for Development Paul Chan is heading the delegation where he will be speaking on co-operation in infrastructure and professional services at a luncheon organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry.

He will meet Yangon City Development Committee representatives, Hong Kong business people and professionals there to learn more about town planning and development prospects in Myanmar.

The delegation will also have talks with national business and professional sectors’ representatives on business opportunities and visit projects in Yangon, including the Thilawa Special Economic Zone and Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa.

The delegation will include Government officials, LegCo member Tony Tse, representatives from the Economic Development Commission’s Working Group on Professional Services and those from construction, legal, accounting and company secretary sectors.
