Gammon win creates 800 jobs in Hong Kong

Gammon Awarded Contract for Residential Development in Tseung Kwan O

Gammon Engineering & Construction Company Limited has been awarded a building
contract for a 600-flat residential development in Tseung Kwan O. The project for developer Wheelock Properties includes the construction of residential towers on top of a commercial podium, which comprises retail areas, a basement car park and a clubhouse.
Work started on the project in January this year, and will create 800 jobs in Hong Kong.

Thomas Ho, Chief Executive of Gammon, said, “We are delighted that Wheelock Properties has selected Gammon as its construction partner for this residential project. We are committed to working together with our business team to ensure the delivery of the residential development to the highest quality with excellent standards of safety.”

The development is designed to embrace principles of sustainability and environmental management throughout the construction process, including the selection of the construction materials, and is committed to complying with the BEAM Plus standards.
