Macau: Construction Worker in fatal accident

According to the Macau times a 47-year old man from mainland China died yesterday afternoon when he was hit by falling drill pipes.  The accident occurred at construction site in Colane.  He was confirmed dead upon arriving at the hospital

Information from the Judiciary Police (PJ) indicated that the incident took place at around 2.30 p.m. when another worker was alleged to have accidentally caused some slung drill pipes to fall onto the victim.

After conducting an investigation at the scene, PJ believes that the case is not suspicious and has labeled it an workplace accident. The Labor Affairs Bureau said that it will assist the family of the diseased to handle issues relating to compensation.

In a similar accident a worker was crushed to death on a construction site in death back in July of this year.
