CEDD pens consultancy agreement for Investigation of Boardwalk underneath Island Eastern Corridor

The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) signed a consultancy agreement with AECOM Asia Company Limited on 10 March 2015 to carry out an investigation study for the proposed boardwalk underneath the Island Eastern Corridor.

The main purpose of the proposed boardwalk underneath the Island Eastern Corridor from Oil Street to Hoi Yu Street is to enhance connectivity along the North Point waterfront for the enjoyment of the harbourfront area of Victoria Harbour by the public.

The consultancy will develop a schematic layout and review the feasibility of the proposed boardwalk. A key task is to address the issue of compliance with the Protection of the Harbour Ordinance.
