21 building plans approved in July

The Buildings Department approved 21 building plans in July – five on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon and nine in the New Territories.

Of the approved plans, nine were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, seven were for commercial developments, four were for factory and industrial developments, and one was for community services developments.

Consent was given to start works on 16 building projects, which will provide 110,548 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 554 units and 683,699 sq m for non-domestic use.

The department also issued 18 occupation permits – five on Hong Kong Island, eight in Kowloon and five in the New Territories.

Buildings certified for occupation have 19,648 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 526 units and 37,343 sq m for non-domestic use.

The declared cost of new buildings completed in the month was $2.4 billion.
