The Buildings Department approved 19 building plans in June three on Hong Kong Island, two in Kowloon and 14 in the New Territories.
Eight were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, seven were for commercial developments, and four were for community-services developments. Consent was given for work to start on 18 building projects that, when completed, will provide 113,233 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,861 units, and 112,391 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department also issued 20 occupation permits, with eight on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and seven in the New Territories. The buildings certified for occupation have 179,220 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 2,920 units, and 39,202 sq m for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in June totalled about $5.2 billion.
